New Book - History of Thornley, Ludworth, and Wheatley Hill

We are currently working on the final book recording the history of the villages of Thornley, Ludworth and Wheatley Hill. This book will cover the period from 1956 to 1976. It will also include a full list of fatalities at the three collieries between 1830 and 1976.

The launch will be held in Wheatley Hill Workingmen's Club on Saturday, 25 September 2010. More details will appear throughout the year.
